Group stage
1 or 2 groups, depending on how many teams register (2 groups from 8 teams). Every team plays every other team in its group: best of 2 up to 10 teams, best of 1 with more. Win = 3 points, draw = 1, loss = 0.
Example below: 10 teams → 2 groups, best of 2.
Who goes through
80% of the teams qualify for the playoffs. With 10 teams (example): 8 go through, 2 are out — the top 4 of each group.
Playoffs
Double elimination. Lose once and you drop to the lower bracket. Lose twice and you are out. Series are best of 3; the grand final is best of 5.

Playoffs — double elimination
The 8 qualified teams are seeded by their group results (1 = best). Everyone starts in the upper bracket. A team that loses drops to the lower bracket and can still win the tournament — but a second loss means it is out.
